It’s Monday, July 4, 2016, and I woke to a post on Facebook that asked “What does Freedom mean to you?????? All day I have been thinking about the word freedom as well as independence. How we define, use, express and all around incorporate them into our everyday. As the day wore on the desire to dig deeper grew. What does it mean to me? I started looking for definitions as well as quotes and found several. Many revolved around our country’s independence, others were around race, gender, and religion but one stood out to me because it is in line with how I see feel and live my definition.
~Every human has four endowments – self-awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom… The power to choose, to respond, to change.
For me, and after much introspection, I came to this ~Self-acceptance has given me the greatest freedom ever, learning to remain in self-love and kindness has allowed me my independence.
This self-realization came once personal consciousness happened. When we actually open up our hearts and start deeply listening to ourselves our hearts and that divine voice inside magical things happen and independent freedom can come.
How do you define, use, express and incorporate FREEDOM & INDEPENDENCE?
